Product Overview
MicroDOC is a simple menu-driven, desk-top computer based system
designed to record all types of project documents and track their
movements and responsibilities both internally, within the project
team, and externally with all outside suppliers/contractors. Created
in the late '80's, MicroDOC has been developed to improve documentation
control on major projects where communication is a vital issue and
it is essential to know the status of every key document at any
point in time in the project process.
MicroDOC is simple to set up and easy to use, enabling the project
engineer to control the project from day one. By helping to monitor
the flow of all documents and pinpointing areas of concern, MicroDOC
also contributes to reduce costs.
MicroDOC enables the project engineers to control the project
from day one.
MicroDOC provides the user with a means to identify documents that
are either held-up, or fast approaching, a bottleneck. For example,
key layout drawings awaiting design approval may have a planned
approval/comment time of 5 days, with (say) 6 days already spent
and no results, an expensive bottleneck could be developing.
By helping to monitor the flow of all documents, and pinpointing
areas of concern, MicroDOC contributes to reduced costs.
